Chrissie Juno Mann creates work that is inspired by the nature around her home in the New Forest.
The stitching techniques that she uses are historical techniques allowing for great detail and at times both realism and fantasy. The subject matter has a more contemporary feel and mainly focuses on animals and nature, although it can morph into a more political strand of work.
Chrissie loves using colour and 3D elements within her work, plus a little bit of ‘bling’ in the form of goldwork techniques created with metal threads.
About The Artist
Based in the heart of the New Forest, Chrissie trained at the Royal School of Needlework, Hampton Court Palace, as a specialist in the art of hand embroidery.
She teaches for the RSN at various locations across the UK and abroad, as well as online learning.
She also has her own embroidery label ‘Cloud Juno’. Chrissie teaches, creates exciting workshops and designs her own kits, gives talks and runs embroidery retreats. She is also working on developing more of my own work for exhibitions.
She has been stitching since she was a young child as both a form of relaxation and a means of expressing herself.
