Jewellery
Carolyn Amos is influenced by early 20th century design, predominantly Art Deco and the Bauhaus Movement. Inspired by simplicity of form and love of colour, she hand makes individual pieces of jewellery using traditional jewellery and silversmithing techniques including texturing, etching, keum boo and patination to give depth and contrast. From an extensive colour palette of hand mixed pigments and different resins she creates vibrantly coloured pieces of jewellery and wearable art.
About The Artist
Carolyn’s first encounter with jewellery and silversmithing was evening classes when she was 16. Her interested was re-ignited in her late forties, attending a number of courses that extended her knowledge of silversmithing and introducing her to modern day materials and techniques, taught by internationally acclaimed makers. Carolyn is based in Hampshire and a member of Association of Contemporary Jewellery and Guild of Jewellery Designers.
