Kathryn Arbon – Sea & Silver

Jewellery

‘Sea and Silver’ sea inspired jewellery has been born of a love of the ocean and the sense of space and calm it brings, combined with the joy of working in precious metals.

Kathryn also has a collection of one-off pieces of jewellery in gold influenced by pattern and ancient script.

About The Artist

Kathryn has worked as a jewellery designer, maker and tutor for many years. After finishing a Metals course at Plymouth College of Art she started working in trade workshops on the South Coast as a jobbing jeweller, doing repairs, ring re-sizing and alterations. The next step was a move to Wimborne where she became resident jeweller at Walford Mill Crafts.  From her own studio she developed various collections, and worked on bespoke commission pieces.

It was while at Walford Mill that she started to teach, then at Bournemouth and Poole College and The Arts University in Bournemouth, where she ran successful evening classes for recreational silver jewellery students.

Events led to a change of location four years ago to the Portland, Dorset, where she now lives.
