Intuitive painting & drawing workshop at Jo Morley’s Studio
We have various social meets ups for our members to attend throughout the year.
Last September we were delighted to hold one at Artful Collective member Jo Morley’s studio in Southampton, Hampshire.
As well as being a social meet up, Jo led a fun intuitive painting and drawing workshop. She provided us with a still life in the centre of the room for us to observe from different viewpoints as we moved between easels adding to the already existing mark marking that had been created by the person before. This wasn’t about a finished piece. It was about observing, recording and interpreting what we saw quickly, as an intuitive response, using a variety of materials and tools for mark making. It was collaborative with a creative freedom and moreover lots of fun.
Furthermore, this experience fed back into some or members work. Watch out for another blog post about that!
